Do you just put the cut outs wherever you fancy? Or is there like some sort of meditation process and you have an epiphany?

an epiphany - that's it! actually the stuff that comes out often makes me say i don;t know too. each piece is a process that is different each time and can be mixed with varying degrees of intuition, years of "practice", compositional knowledge, random chance, inspiration from whatever music is playing, bits of leftovers from previously cut things begging me to be glued somewhere, preconceived notions, gut feelings, something i ate for dinner...who knows. it's art. it's fun and it's a trip.

thanks for asking. it's good to think about that answer every now and then.
